My ego ... it's swelling!!

There is this Final Fantasy 7 remix project that is about to be released after 20 months in production. I had written an FF7 piano medley during this time, and I contacted the project lead to see if he'd be interested in using it in the project. He really enjoyed it and asked me to finish it up. I did, gave it to him, and then forgot about it.

The project is set to be released on Friday. The entire album was sent for a sneak preview to a reviewer at music4games.net: a site that reviews and is based around original game soundtracks. This is the first time they've delved into a remix project like this. The review was AMAZING. AND! I GOT MY OWN PARAGRAPH!

"The final piece is an absolutely gorgeous medley performed exclusively on piano. It begins with a reflective arrangement of “Lifestream,” which is a piece that is sadly absent from the rest of the album (It’s one of my favorites). Jazzy, jivin’ arrangements of the main theme and Tifa’s theme follow. Numerous other pieces are included in the arrangement, all with flawless transitions, propelling this piece way beyond the official piano collection albums that have been released over the years by Square. It’s contemplative in emotion and stunning in execution, making it a perfect closing piece for the album."

A track record of the shows I've seen.

Since I began living in the DFW area in March, I've put together what I think is a full comprehensive list of all the shows I've seen.

Dallas Opera - Lohengrin
Dallas Symphony - Handel's Messiah
Dallas Summer Musical - Chicago
Dallas Symphony Orchestra - Video Games Live
Dallas Summer Musical - Spamalot (2x)
Meyerson - Glenn Beck (talk radio, comedy)
Starlight Theater, Kansas City - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Eisemann Center - The Pirates of Penzance
Dallas Summer Musical - Sweet Charity
Water Tower Theatre - The Sugar Bean Sisters (play)
Water Tower Theatre - A Brief History of White Music (2x)
Theatre A La Carte, Tallahassee - The Scarlet Pimpernel
Artisan Center - Beauty and the Beast (3x)

Seems like more than that. Woo, that's expensive. If you call Medieval Times a show, I did that too.

Read your bibles.

C, E flat, and G walk into a bar ...

The bartender sees them coming and says, "Hey! We don't serve minors!"

So E flat left and C and G had a fifth between them.

LULZ.

ATMs: Still the bane of my existence.

So, I went down to Compass Bank to deposit a check. This time I came prepared with a BoA envelope in hand. I go through the normal hoops: debit card, PIN #, do I want an envelope, "yes", no envelope, that's ok, I brought one with me, deposit XX amount of money and....

"I'm sorry. This ATM is not accepting any more messages, payments, or deposits."

My hood is no longer in a V shape...

Thanks to Charlie's man hands. But now it won't latch .. seeing as how the hood is now longer than the chasis of the car. One thing at a time. It still runs nice.
